How to use text translation on iPhone

In iOS 14, Apple introduced a new translation app that supports about 11 languages and can switch languages in real-time.

Supported languages (as of now) include Arabic, Mainland Chinese, English (US and UK), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

The appearance of the Translate application is quite simple, so users can use it quickly and easily. In addition to translating sentences that users say, it can also translate text that is typed manually.

  • Open the Translate app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • At the top, tap to select the language used and the language to translate.
  • Tap the text input area and then type the word you want to translate. If you have, tap Go to start translating.
  • You can listen to the translation results by tapping the play button.

Of course, this Translate app will be useful for those of you who often travel abroad or do not speak foreign languages very fluently. In the future, this app is expected to support more languages, such as Indonesian.
