No More Gaps! Set Up Crossfade for Continuous Listening in Apple Music

Smoother Song Transitions, Here's How to Set Crossfade in Apple Music - Through iOS 17, Apple added the Crossfade feature to Apple Music where users can make sound effects on songs fade when moving from one music to another.

So with this Crossfade feature, users can determine the transition time needed for this faded sound effect when the song is approaching the final seconds and then accompanied by the next song.

  • Open Settings
  • Scroll down and tap the Apple Music option
  • Tap (on) on the Crossfade option and specify the time range this effect will take effect during the transition

When you're done, then you can open Apple Music and try running a song to feel the changes.

So for example, when you listen to song A and it reaches the final seconds, there will be a fade effect on song A and the track will immediately change to song B, but there will still be a little sound from song A for a few seconds — where you can set how many seconds this fade effect is.

This effect makes moving songs feel smoother with no empty gaps when changing songs. This feature is perfect for use when you want to listen to songs without any audio gap interference when moving again.

Please note that this feature only works on direct connections from iPhone speakers or AirPods only. Can't be used if listening to Apple Music via AirPlay.
