How to Make Ringtone from Voice Memos on iPhone

 Tired of the default ringtones from iPhone? You can find other alternatives by making voice memos in a ringtone without using the help of a computer.

Before you start, there are a few things to note:

  • Make sure your iPhone is using iOS 11 or above.
  • Voice memo recording takes no more than 40 seconds.
  • GarageBand app (Free – 1.6GB).

Create Ringtone from Voice Memos on iPhone

  1. Open Voice Memos.
  2. Start recording the sound you want to make a ringtone.
  3. Swipe left on an existing memo, and select the More option (which is marked with 3 dots).
  4. Tap the Save to Files option.
  5. Open the GarageBand app.
  6. Tap the Project option in the upper-left corner.
  7. Tap the Loop option on the top right and select Files.
  8. Select the voice memo file just now.
  9. Tap the metronome option at the top (next to the stop button) and turn it off.
  10. Cut the recording to 40 seconds.
  11. Tap the downward (▼) option in the left corner and select My Songs.
  12. Tap hold on to the recording you created, then select Share.
  13. Tap on the Ringtone option and give it a name as you wish.
