How to move photos on iPhone to Google Photos

Apple only provides 5GB of free storage in iCloud, which is certainly too little to store all your photos and videos, especially if you often use your iPhone to shoot videos in 4K resolution.

Of course, if you want, you can upgrade to iCloud Premium by paying $1 per month to get 50GB of storage.

However, if you don't want to sign up, you can use the Google Photos app to back up photo and video files.

Transfer photos to Google Photos on iPhone.

  • Download the Google Photos app.
  • Launch the Google Photos app. If a warning appears, tap the Allow access to all photos option.
  • Enter the Google account you have, and then tap the Save as (your Google account name) option.
  • Choose the backup option between High Quality or Original. Apart from that, you can also enable data packages in the backup process if you wish.
