Alt text, or Alternative text, is one of the ways to make people understand what the content of the image is. On Twitter, you can add Alt text to the images you upload to make your followers understand what image you are sharing.

To add Alt text to the images you upload on Twitter, the method is almost the same for all platforms, be it iOS or Android.

Add Alt Text on Twitter

• Open Twitter.
• Create a new Tweet as usual and add the image you want.
• Tap the +ALT option at the bottom of the photo.
• Enter a description that explains what image you uploaded. Then tap Done.
• You can add words to your tweet or post it directly by tapping the Tweet option.
• Every image you add Alt text to will display the ALT sign on the image.
